A tip on how you can enable logging for the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC).

If you are having problems with the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) you can enable logging for this console by configuring two registry keys as follows:

Key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Diagnostics

Value Name: GPMgmtTraceLevel

Value Type: REG_DWORD

Value Data: 2

Key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Diagnostics

Value Name: GPMgmtLogFileOnly

Value Type: REG_DWORD

Value Data: 1

The log file that is generated by this will be found in the %temp% directory.
