Diagnostic cmdlets available in PowerShell

Tip explains diagnostic cmdlets available in PowerShell.

PowerShell implements diagnostic cmdlets in Microsoft.PowerShell.Diagnostics module. This module implements necessary PowerShell cmdlets to manage event logs, performance counters, and Event Tracing for Windows. There are five diagnostic cmdlets available as listed below:

  • Export-Counter
  • Get-Counter
  • Get-WinEvent
  • Import-Counter
  • New-WinEvent
